About Driving School Hub

Driving School Hub is an independent directory that helps South Africans find driving schools, understand the licensing process, and prepare for the K53 driving test.

What We Do

We maintain a searchable directory of driving schools across all nine provinces. We list schools by area, licence type, and pricing so you can compare options without phoning ten different numbers.

Beyond the directory, we publish practical guides on every step of the licensing process – from getting your eye test and writing your learner’s, to understanding the K53 system and passing your practical test.

We also map driver’s licence testing centres (DLTCs) across the country, so you can find your nearest centre and understand what to expect when you get there.

Everything on this site is free to use.

Our Mission

Getting a driver’s licence in South Africa is unnecessarily confusing. The process spans multiple government departments, the rules vary by province, waiting times are brutal, and misinformation is everywhere.

We exist to cut through that. Our goal is to give every learner driver in South Africa access to clear, accurate, up-to-date information about how the system works – and to make finding a reputable driving school as straightforward as possible.

What We Are Not

We are not a driving school. We don’t offer lessons, we don’t have instructors, and we don’t own training vehicles. We connect you with schools that do.

We are not a government service. We have no affiliation with the Department of Transport, the RTMC, or any provincial traffic authority. Our testing centre information is compiled from publicly available sources and is provided for convenience – always confirm details directly with the DLTC.

We are not selling licences. There is no shortcut to a legitimate driver’s licence. Anyone offering to “get you a licence” without proper testing is breaking the law. If you encounter this, report it.

How Listings Work

Driving school listings on our directory are compiled from publicly available information – business registrations, websites, social media pages, and directory data. Schools are listed free of charge.

We present factual information: the school’s name, location, contact details, services offered, and pricing where available. We do not fabricate reviews or endorse specific schools.

For driving schools: If your school is listed and any details are incorrect, or if you’d like your profile highlighted with additional information, contact us at the email below. If your school isn’t listed and you’d like to be included, get in touch. Basic listings are free.

For learner drivers: We do our best to keep listings accurate, but information changes – prices go up, instructors move, schools close. Always confirm details directly with the school before committing.

How We Make Money

This site is supported by advertising. Our commercial model does not influence which schools appear in search results or how guides are written. Information accuracy matters more to us than advertising revenue.
